FincoEnergies awarded the third Lean & Green star

Rotterdam, 19 September 2025 – FincoEnergies has been awarded the third Lean & Green star. With this new recognition, the company and all its colleagues have achieved a higher level of sustainability in road transport.

To earn the third-star certification, the company invested in its fleet and maintenance. The trucks are equipped with onboard computers that collect data. These data provide insight into how driving can be made more sustainable, for example, through accelerating, braking, and the use of cruise control.

The company also extensively uses advanced telematics systems. These allow customer inventory levels to be monitored remotely so that deliveries can be adjusted and carried out based on this information. By working in this way, the most optimal drop sizes are achieved, and shorter routes are driven. The result is a drastic reduction in kilometres driven and CO₂ emissions.

At the beginning of 2024, FincoEnergies started the Lean & Green program to obtain the third star. For FincoEnergies, the program is an excellent opportunity to showcase its sustainability vision.
