FincoEnergies has received EcoVadis Gold medal for sustainability performance

Thanks to the combined efforts of our team, we were able to elevate our status from silver to gold, placing us among the top 7% of sustainable companies worldwide. This recognition is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to our commitment to sustainability. 

What is EcoVadis? 

EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of business sustainability ratings. They assess over 100,000 companies globally on four key themes related to Environmental Social Governance (ESG) performance:   

• Environment  
• Labor & Human Rights  
• Ethics  
• Sustainable Procurement 

Our improvements 

FincoEnergies shows improvements across several sustainability categories: 

• We bumped our overall score from 59 to 70. 
• Our labor & human rights performance jumped from 50 to an outstanding 70 points. 
• Ethics performance received a boost from 60 to a solid 70 points. 
• Sustainable procurement efforts climbed from 60 to 70 points. 
  

While this is a cause for celebration, our journey is far from over. The gold medal signifies our progress and serves as a reminder of the exciting work ahead. We will bring our policies and plans to life to get even better next year.

Our primary focus in 2024 includes: 

• Make big strides with implementing CSRD 
• Collaboratively developing ESG policies with insights from our external ESG Advisory Board. 
• Amplifying efforts on sustainable procurement, a recent addition to our set of sustainable policies. 
• Committing to a reduction in our scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. 
• Continuously evaluating and enhancing our business ethics. 
• Rolling out new labor and human rights policies, including our remuneration scheme 

“Green & Great” 

Looking ahead to 2035, we envision a future that is not just green but truly "Green & Great." Our commitment extends beyond operations to encompass how we think, act, and invest. A workplace where every action contributes to a better world is at the heart of our ambition. 

We continue forward; our current objective is to achieve EcoVadis Platinum. Under the guidance of our new CEO, Kimon Palinginis, who assumed office on January 1, the strategy, ambition, and focus of FincoEnergies remain unchanged. Our collective goal serves as the constant thread in the inspiring story we are telling together. 

To meet our targets, we must intensify our efforts in the coming years. We are committed to continuing our journey towards a sustainable future, and we hope to inspire ourselves and the world around us.
